Tristan Szabo Culbert
Visimotus was founded by writer and director Tristan Szabo Culbert. Born and raised in New York, he has lived in the East Village, Chinatown, Hell’s Kitchen, and Harlem. In addition to experiencing these vastly different neighborhoods, Szabo has also been to over a dozen countries, gaining exposed to a widely variety of cultures both domestically and abroad. His films focus on themes of the human condition; experiences that resonate universally, regardless of background.

Cinema is an art form told visually. Either by editing, movement of the camera, or the actions characters take. We wanted a name that reflects the way films are told and experienced.
The name originates from the Latin roots Visio = Sight & Motus = Movement.
Visimotus means to See Movement.
